The property covers a Nepheline Syenite intrusion with anomalous rare earths related to the Obedjiwan alkaline complex. The north block contains coarse grained nepheline, anomalous niobium values and carbonaceous rocks. The south block with similar geology is believed to cover the main deposit. In 1974, an estimate of 300 million tonnes of Nepheline was reported by C. Pare (Quebec Gov’t report DP271, GM50657, GM50658) based solely on previous geological mapping.
